BBC School Report was a chance to make our classroom a news room for a day, and let us report the news.
The pupils taking part have had the chance to visit Nottingham East Midlands Today news studio where they interviewed presenter Anne Davis.
In their English lessons they have had a BBC camera crew come in to film and help them with their reports. Their results can be viewed on the BBC News School Report website.
They also had interactive lessons with TV News presenter, Huw Edwards. They have had to find news, film interviews and make a news report within the school. |
Holly, a pupil from Belvoir High School, said, “I have learnt how to find and assemble news”.
On the day of school report they have had a full day off curriculum to make their final news reports to a deadline. They have featured on BBC Radio Nottingham,
BBC Radio Leicester, the BBC School News Report interactive broadcast and East Midlands Today.
George summed up the experience “I enjoyed School Report so much, learnt many new skills and achieved something I never thought I would”. |
