Acceptable Footwear
Unacceptable Footwear

Jewellery

Students may wear a watch. School rules allow for one set of studs to be worn in the ears but no jewellery is to be worn in the eyebrows, tongue, nose or any other body piercing. Therefore if students wish to have ears pierced they must arrange this at the beginning of the Summer holidays so that the wound has sufficient time to heal. Plasters may not be worn to cover earrings. If students disregard this they will be isolated from other students until they comply with the regulation.

No other jewellery is permitted due to health and safety issues and liability in case of loss.

Hairstyles

Hairstyles should not be extreme. Parents should consult, in advance with the Year Leader if they are unsure as to the suitability of a change of style. Hair must be cut no shorter than a grade 2, with no edges/lines. Hair must be of a natural colour, two tone hair with dipped dyed ends and unnatural hair colours, like blue, pink, lilac or green are not acceptable. The academy shall be the arbiter of the term ‘extreme’.

Make-up

For Health and Safety reasons acrylic nails and nail polish are not permitted. Key Stage 3 students are not allowed to wear any make up, except in exceptional circumstances when light foundation will be permitted to disguise skin complaints. Key Stage 4 students are allowed to wear discrete make up. The academy shall be the arbiter of the term ‘discrete’.

These standards must be observed whenever the academy uniform is worn, including the journey to/from the academy and when on school visits.

UNIFORM UPDATE                                                                                                                                                             July 2018

This  is to confirm that there has been a minor change to the academy uniform.

Since joining the Priory Federation of Academies Trust on 1ST October 2017, the academy changed its name to The Priory Belvoir Academy and we have created a rebranded version of the school logo to reflect this.

An additional  uniform supplier, Uniform Direct have been commissioned to stock items with the new Priory Belvoir Academy logo from 2nd July 2018.  It is our intention to allow the new logo to be phased in so parents do not need to change the uniform until it is necessary.

Uniform is a key aspect of The Priory Belvoir Academy, allowing us to maintain the high standards that have helped make us such a successful academy and your support in this is essential.

Uniform Direct www.uniform-direct.com and choose 'find your school', choose 'secondary school' and search Priory Belvoir.

Uniform Direct are the only supplier to stock our rebranded academy uniform items.

Price and Buckland www.pbparentsonline.co.uk/belvoirhigh still have stock available for parents to purchase if they prefer.
