We are exceptionally proud of our results for 2017 which put as the 3rd highest performing school in Leicestershire for progress.
Progress 8 and Attainment 8 Scores
- Progress 8 Score = +0.42
- Attainment 8 Score = 52.36
Progress 8 measures the average progress a student makes in our school from key stage 2 to key stage 4. A progress 8 score of + 0.42 means that on average, our students achieved nearly half a grade higher across their subjects than the national average. This progress 8 score places our school in the top 20% of schools nationally for progress.
Percentage of pupils who achieved grade 5+ and 4+ in English and Mathematics at the end of Key Stage 4
- 4+ = 76% (equivalent to an old grade C)
- 5+ = 54% (equivalent to an old high C/low B grade)

This means that in every element of the progress 8 measure, our students made more progress than the national average. Particularly impressive is the progress our students made in the open element, where on average, our students achieved nearly one full grade higher than the national average.
